TVT series

Evaluation of texture is often based on sensory judgement and experience. The advantages of using an instrument instead of sensory evaluation is that you get an objective, fast and cost efficient way to measure the texture in well-defined and controlled test conditions. The measurements of an instrument can either try to imitate test conditions from practical situations or use test conditions based on experience. Whatever is chosen as test condition, it should be able to distinguish between the different products and be reproducible.

This simple-to-use texture analyser can be used for a variety of different products and materials and ensures an efficient, easy and productive way of evaluation. The instrument can be supplied with load cells ranging from 3 to 100 kg all with a 1 g resolution. The robustness of the instrument makes it equally suitable to be placed in conjunction with a production line as in a laboratory. The included software has been developed with an aim of being comprehensive but simple-to-use.

How the instrument works

TVT software
Depending on the application suitable accessories are attached to the instrument, then the product is placed on the instrument. Set the parameters for your product and start the measurement. Force is applied to the product either by pulling or compressing it and the force is plotted as a function of time or distance. Test results are shown on screen with statistical information calculated automatically. All test results and measurement data can easily be exported to a spreadsheet program for further analysis.
